AT DAYTON: Godsey is projected to see plenty of time at tailback behind classmate Greg Wimberly this season. Godsey played in nine of the ten games in 2005, earning his first letter. He rushed for 141 yards and had one TD. In 2004, he played in six games, gaining 133 yards in 26 carries (5.1 avg.) with one touchdown. He is a three-time member of the Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll, and was the 2005 winner of the John L. Macbeth Memorial Scholar-Athlete Award. He transferred from Ohio Northern in 2003.

PERSONAL: Son of Elizabeth Godsey and Vince Godsey...Born on June 27, 1984...Majoring in Pre-Med... At Butler High School, he was Second Team Division II All-Ohio, First Team All-Southwest Ohio and First Team All-Greater Western Ohio Conference as a senior in 2000. He also was an all-conference performer in track. Godsey graduated Magna cum Laude from Vandalia-Butler. His med school choices are down to UC or Ohio State, and he plans on becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
