Fumagalli was projected as a backup linebacker for the 2008 season, listed behind his senior brother, Drew, on the pre-season depth charts. He appeared in ten games of the 2008 campaign for the Flyers, two of which he started. In addition to assisting on eight tackles, Fumagalli recorded seven solos, finishing 14th on the team (with a total of 15 tackles). He is projected to be UD's third linebacker in 2009. As a freshman, Ross played in five games and had two solo tackles on the season. He is a two-time member of the PFL Academic Honor Roll.

Son of Douglas and Char Fumagalli...Born May 13, 1989...He has two brothers, Drew, who also plays linebacker for UD, and Troy...He is Majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship...Ross was team captain and MVP for Neuqua Valley High School. He was selected first team all-conference and First Team All-Chicago as a senior. He was a member of the National Honor Society and also ran track.
