AT DAYTON: Deja saw action iun six of the Flyers games in the 2007 season. He contributed 12 tackles while playing Defensive Back. Deja lettered for the first time in 2005. Listed as a backup heading into the season, he took advantage of an injury and couldn't be moved out of the lineup, starting nine games where he was credited with 43 tackles (21 solo). Last year, he started in eight of the ten games he played. He had 36 tackles, two passes broken up and a forced fumble. In the 2007 Red & Blue Game, he led with eight tackles (six solo). He was a member of the PFL Academic Honor Roll the last two seasons.

PERSONAL: Son of Scott and Terri Deja...Born on November 5, 1985...Majoring in Middle Childhood Education... Deja was first team all-conference in football, basketball, baseball and track. A three-sport team captain, he was Lake Catholic's football MVP. A member of the National Honor Society, he is also a Eucharistic minister.
