AT DAYTON: Burton returned to the starting lineup for the third season in 2007. This season he added 12 tackles to his resume. He was an ESPN The Magazine All-District Second Academic Team for the second time. He led Flyer interior linemen in tackles with 20 last year. In 2005, he was Second Team All-PFL and Honorable Mention (third team) I-AA Mid-Major All-America by Football Gazette. He started in all ten games and was credited with 27 tackles (ten solo) in `05. Burton played in one game as a sophomore in 2004 where he was credited with one tackle. He is a two-time Academic All-PFL selection, and a four-time member of the PFL Academic Honor Roll. PERSONAL: Son of Larry and Phyllis Burton...Born on June 7, 1985...Majoring in Civil Engineering... At Valley View High School, he was a three-sport letterman and a member of NHS and in the top ten of his graduating class... He was Second Team All-Southwest Ohio. |
