EIGHT FLYER FOOTBALLERS NAMED ESPN THE MAGAZINE ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT

The University of Dayton has placed eight Flyer football players on the 2009 University Division ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV Team, the most of any team in the country for the second straight year, it was announced Thursday. MORE

PAIR OF PERFECT PFL RECORDS SQUARE OFF WHEN UD HOSTS BUTLER SATURDAY AT 1 PM

The round-robin "tournament" that will largely decide the Pioneer Football League champion begins Saturday at Welcome Stadium when University of Dayton football team hosts Butler. Game time is 1 p.m. ET. The University of Dayton is offering Buy One, Get One Free ticket vouchers for Saturday's Butler @ Dayton football game. VALENTINO EARNS PFL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

University of Dayton senior quarterback Steve Valentino earned his third Pioneer Football League Offensive Player of the Week of the season for his performance in Dayton's 21-14 win over San Diego at Welcome Stadium on Saturday. It was also Valentino's second straight PFL Offensive Player of the Week Award. MORE
