Due to anticipated congestion on Interstate 75, fans should consider using alternate routes into UD Arena

As fans prepare for the upcoming basketball season, the last thing Flyer fans should worry about is getting to UD Arena on time. To help you avoid traffic delays and conserve energy, the Flyers want to make its fans aware of the following projects and changes to services.

Due to anticipated congestion on Interstate 75, fans should consider using alternate routes into UD Arena while the Stewart Street Bridge is under construction. Below are some suggested detours.

ALTERNATE ROUTES TO UD ARENA

  • Take Brown or Main Streets to US 35 West. Take 35 West to I-75 South and exit at Stewart Street or Edwin C. Moses Blvd.
  • Take Patterson Blvd. to Perry Street, proceed to Washington St. Take Washington St. to Edwin C. Moses Blvd.
  • Travelling North on I-75 you can exit at Dryden Rd. and proceed north to Edwin C. Moses Blvd
  • Travelling South on I-75 you can exit at Stewart St. or Edwin C. Moses Blvd.

    The routes listed are suggestions and fans should work to find the most convenient route for themselves.

    HELPFUL HINTS

  • To avoid traffic congestion, we recommend that guests arrive early. As a reminder Arena lots are pass-only. The Delphi lot is for non-permit, single-game users.
  • Doors open for guests an hour and a half prior to events.
  • To encourage fans to get to the game early, UD Arena will feature two "Rudy Specials". The specials are available to fans who arrive to the Arena for the first half hour after the doors open.

    * Rudy Special #1 consists of two hot dogs, a bag of chips and a small fountain drink for just $5!
    * Rudy Special #2 consists of two soft pretzels, two cheese dips and two small fountain drinks for $5!

    This promotion will last throughout the entire 2008-09 basketball campaign.

  • To avoid delays, we recommend that guests who have tickets in Will Call, arrive one to one and a half-hours prior to the event start time.
  • The University of Dayton also encourages fans planning to attend games to carpool.

    The University of Dayton is monitoring traffic with the assistance of the City of Dayton and its own staff members who are assigned to monitor traffic conditions.
