Recently, Dayton Flyer men's basketball season ticket holders were mailed a brochure entitled "New Realities" detailing the changes of college athletics and how the University of Dayton continues to build its athletics programs.

The current "New Realities" piece is a stewardship report. It indicates how athletic contributions through the Arena seating program have been invested for success and how they will be used going forward.

There have been significant changes across the landscape of intercollegiate athletics in the five years since the second "New Realities." One of the purposes of the brochure is to inform UD supporters of those changes and describe how they impact the Flyers.

The Flyers have the eyes on the future, not the past. And the focus is men's basketball. The new realities delineated in the brochure makes it clear the bar is higher and the challenge greater, however, the athletic department's aspirations have not changed.
