PLUMMER TO TRANSFER FROM DAYTON
April 6, 2007 University of Dayton men's basketball coach Brian Gregory has announced that junior forward Norman Plummer has received his release from the University of Dayton so he can transfer to another school to play basketball. "After meeting with Norman, we all agreed that it would be best for him to complete his college career at another school," Gregory said, "It goes without saying that we wish Norman the very best in the future." Plummer, a native of Fairfield, Ohio, was a three-year letterwinner for the Flyers. A starter his first two seasons, he played in 88 career games. Plummer scored 804 career points, with point-per-game averages of 9.1 (freshman) 10.0 (sophomore) and 8.2 (junior). He played in 28 of the team's 31 games last year. Dayton returns four starters (including two-time All-Atlantic 10 selection Brian Roberts) and its top two scorers (Roberts and Charles Little). UD finished the 2006-07 season with a 19-12 record, and ranked #75 nationally in the RPI. |
