NCAA FIRST ROUND: OHIO STATE 70, DAVIDSON 62

Davidson's football team comes to Dayton regularly as they are a part of the Pioneer Football League.

Last time both teams were in the NCAA Tournament they played each other.

Each of Davidson's last two NCAA Tournament opponents have had to vacate their wins over the Wildcats. (Michigan, `98; Ohio State, '02).

*By NCAA rule, Davidson given team basket due to opponent tip-in.

Ohio State went 13-23 from the free throw line, while Davidson went only 5-7.

Each team was 5-22 from 3-point range.

Before today's loss, Davidson was 19-1 when leading at half this season. The Wildcats finished the season 19-2 when leading at the half. (other loss was @ Georgia Southern; 76-73).

Ian Johnson moved into the Top 10 Scoring List at Davidson with his 26 points today, which also tied his career high. He now has 1,511 in his career.

Johnson recorded his sixth double-double of the season and 11th of his career with 26 points and 10 rebounds today.
