CBS SportsLine.com's college basketball columnist Gregg Doyel has picked Brian Gregory, the University of Dayton men's basketball coach, the Atlantic 10's Coach of the Year in this week's column.

Gregory, who is in his second season at UD, has guided the Flyers to a 17-10 overall record and a 10-6 record in the A-10. The Flyers tied Xavier for second place in the A-10 West Division.

Doyel cited Dayton's use of a rotation that includes six freshmen and two sophomores in listing Gregory as his choice for Coach of the Year.

In the same column, Saint Joseph's Pat Carroll was named the conference player of the year, and Fordham's Bryant Dunston was named freshman of the year.

Dayton plays St. Bonaventure in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship on Wednesday at US Bank Arena in Cincinnati. Game time is approximately 8:30 p.m. EST.
