UD is now 14-8 overall and 7-4 in the Atlantic 10. The Flyers are currently in second place in the A-10 West Division, a half-game behind George Washington.

Dayton did not attempt a free throw in the game. Preliminary research indicates this is the only time in at least 30 years the Flyers have not attempted a free throw in the game. The Flyers HAVE made a three-pointer in 487 straight games.

The win snapped a two-game losing streak for UD, and also stopped La Salle's two-game winnning streak.

Dayton has now won 11 straight in the La Salle series.

Monty Scott's 17 points led the Flyers. They were six more than he had scored in the previous three games combined. It was the seventh time this season he led UD in scoring. He also shared team rebounding honors (5) with Marques Bennett.

Mark Jones' 13 points were his first double-digit effort since he had 13 in the Vanderbilt game on December 29.

It was the fourth time in five games UD shot 50% or better from three-point range.

Dayton had three wins and three losses in a six-games-in-seventeen-day run. UD now has a week between games, playing Xavier at home on ESPN on Saturday, February 19. The Flyers have five games remaining in the regular season, including two with arch-rival Xavier and a home game with A-10 West leader George Washington.
