"I give credit to UMass and (coach )Derek (Kellogg) did a great job of getting this team ready to play today. It seems like UMass is still in search of themselves, but they are a talented group and they were very efficient today."

" We didn't play very well, but they had a lot to do with it. We didn't defend and we didn't rebound. We were very hurried on offense. We lacked the poise you need to play with on the road. We lacked the basketball savvy that you need. We didn't do a very good job in those areas."

"We did not play a very intelligent game today. When you go on the road, you have to do what you do well. You have to be on the same page. But today, we did not make good decisions and got away from what it would take to win."

"We challenged our points to control and contain (UMass point guard Chris) Lowe, and he dominated the game."

"A lot of people think poise only occurs on the offensive end, but we lost our poise on the defensive end. We gambled too much, fouled too much and did not rebound the basketball. Then when things snowballed in the second half, we lost our patience and took too many one-pass shots."

"When you allow the other team to shoot 52%, get out-rebounded by seven and get out-shot at the free throw line 22 to 6, you're not going to win that game."

"We have to be comfortable with who we are to be successful. We are a team that plays good defense and rebounds the ball well. If we try to play any way else, we're not going to be successful."
