Matt Farrell is in his second season as the Director of Basketball Operations for the University of Dayton.

Farrell's responsibilities include the coordination of all team travel, overseeing all aspects of the Brian Gregory Basketball Camps and all other day-to-day basketball operations.

"I like the fact that Matt has dedicated himself to working through the ranks and dedicated himself to the profession," said Gregory. "I believe he is an excellent and up-and-coming young coach who will do a tremendous job for us in the operations position."

During his first season at UD, Farrell was a part of a Flyer squad that went 23-11 in 2007-08, and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NIT, losing to eventual champion Ohio State in Columbus.

Farrell was a Graduate Assistant with the Dayton men's basketball program during the 2006-07 season before being promoted to Director of Basketball Operations in August 2007.

Farrell graduated from the University of Dayton with honors and holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Business Economics. Farrell is currently pursuing his Master's in Business Administration at UD.

While earning his degree at the undergraduate level and maintaining his status in the University of Dayton Scholar Program, he served as an assistant basketball coach at a local area high school and coached AAU basketball for several organizations, including the Indiana Elite program.
