Since 2005 Mike Bewley has served as the Flyers' sports nutritionist and strength & conditioning coach for men's and women's basketball. His duties include the design and implementation of athletic performance programs, supervising team and individual training sessions and testing strength/power/conditioning of athletes.

In Bewley's previous four seasons the Flyers have made significant gains in strength training, cardiovascular endurance, speed training, flexibility and agility improvement, and nutritional consultation.

Bewley also serves as the strength and conditioning coach to the Flyers men's and women's golf programs.

Prior to Dayton, Bewley served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for Georgia Southern University. Bewley developed and implemented conditioning programs for basketball, baseball, soccer, and volleyball, and assisted with Georgia Southern's 11 other sporting programs.

Bewley graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1998 with a major in Physical Education. He then moved to the University of Nevada in Reno, Nevada, where he was a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach and the school's sport nutritionist. He earned his Master's in Education Leadership from Nevada in 2002.

The native of Louisville, Ky. is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a USA Weightlifting Level I Olympic Club Coach and a Certified Sports Performance Nutritionist.
