FIVE FLYERS SCORE IN DOUBLE FIGURES IN AN 88-73 EXHIBITION WIN OVER FERRIS STATE

DAYTON MEN'S BASKETBALL RANKED IN TOP 25 IN BOTH MAJOR POLLS
The University of Dayton men's basketball team is ranked in both major college basketball polls that were released today. The Flyers are ranked 21st by the Associated Press, and 22nd in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. It is the first time since the 1967-68 season Dayton has been ranked in a major poll in the preseason. DAYTON'S CHRIS WRIGHT NAMED TO NAISMITH TROPHY PRESEASON WATCH LIST
University of Dayton forward Chris Wright was named to the 2009-2010 Preseason Naismith Trophy watch list today. The Naismith Trophy is voted on by coaches, administrators and journalists from around the country and is awarded to the nation's top player. This is the second such honor Wright has received, was also named to the John R. Wooden Award Watch List in August. MORE
