DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton baseball team wraps up fall workouts with its annual Red Baron series this weekend at Time Warner Cable Stadium. The series begins with a seven-inning game Friday at 4 p.m. ET. Play continues Saturday with a nine-inning game at 11:30 a.m. ET followed by a deciding seven-inning game if necessary.

"This weekend will give us another chance to compete and put a stamp on what has been a good fall season for us so far," UD Head Coach Tony Vittorio said.

UD returns a solid pitching staff that includes starters Kyle Lindsay, Chris Rubio and Quinn Haselhorst along with reliever Sean Finn. Offensively, the Flyers return 2006 First Team All A-10 pick Michael Massa as well as Bobby Getty, who led Dayton in hitting last season as well as third-year team captain Joe McSoley at third base.

Last Spring, Dayton (33-24) finished with its fourth 30-plus win season since 2001 at 33-24 under the direction of seventh-year Head Coach Tony Vittorio. The Flyers also advanced to the Atlantic 10 Championships for the second consecutive season and won their first round game for the second time in four appearances overall. UD placed third out of 14 teams in the Atlantic 10 Conference, which is the largest baseball conference in the nation.
