ATHENS, Ohio -

University of Dayton righthanded pitcher Luke Trubee was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association & Rawlings NCAA All-Mideast Region First Team Monday after voting conducted among collegiate coaches within the region.

Trubee, a native of Xenia, Ohio, was also A-10 Second Team All-Conference pick in 2005. He garnered A-10 Pitcher of the Week honors three times and was also named to the National College Baseball Foundation National Honor Roll three times.

Trubee led the Atlantic 10 with a school record 12 wins this season while lifting his career record to 21-7, which is also the most career wins of any UD pitcher. He had a 2.91 ERA with an A-10 leading 108.1 innings pitched. Trubee had nine complete games on the season including three shutouts. He also struck out a single-season school-record 82 batters while surrendering just 16 walks and leading the team with five pickoffs. Trubee allowed two earned runs or less in 12 of his 19 appearances and had 10-strikeout afternoons against both Youngstown State and UNC Asheville.

Dayton won a school-record 36 games in 2005 in its third 30-win season over the past five years under Head Coach Tony Vittorio. The Flyers placed second in the A-10 West Division with a school record 16 conference victories. UD also played its first season in recently completed Time Warner Cable Stadium and had plenty of success with an 18-4 record at its new home.
