DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton Flyers rumbled past the La Salle Explorers 10-7 to lock up a bye in the Atlantic 10 Championship held at Fifth Third Field in downtown Dayton May 20-23.

Cole Tyrell's highlight reel home run was the game-changer on Monday, as the Flyers used a seven run fifth inning to overcome an early deficit at Time Warner Cable Stadium to earn their 20th conference win of the season. UD is one win away from tying a school record 36 win season set in 2005. They are also one home run from tying the single-season school record for home runs, previously set at 71.

Jimmy Roesinger finished the day 3-for-4 with two RBI. Right fielder Aaron Dunsmore was 2-for-5 with three RBI scored in the game.

Right-handed pitcher Mike Hauschild tossed 6.1 innings to pull ahead 3-2 in the win/loss category. "Haus" fanned four and walked two allowing three earned runs on the day. Sean Finn pitched 2.2 innings with two punchouts and a walk.

Dayton travels to Richmond, Ky. for its final non-conference game of the season against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels. The game is slated for a 3:00 p.m. first pitch with live stats provided at www.DaytonFlyers.com.
