DAYTON, Ohio - Dayton jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but visiting Miami rallied to send the Flyers to their fourth-straight loss, 9-8, on Tuesday at Time Warner Cable Stadium. The RedHawks collected a season-high 17 hits while the Flyers had 13. Five different UD players had multi-hit days including Bobby Getty who was 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored.

Four Flyers had two hits a piece including Jeff Mercer who was 2-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored.

Michael DeLuca was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI while Joe McSoley was 2-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI and Shawn Gizynski was 2-for-3 with a RBI.

Scott Dunwoody scored twice and the duo of Michael Massa and Frank Tedesco scored once for the Flyers who left 10 runners on base in the game.

Freshman Matt Speckman had a strong outing in his collegiate debut. He allowed just two runs on six hits over 4.0 innings pitched while striking out two and walking a pair.

Senior Kyle Lindsay fell to 0-3 on the year after surrendering four runs on five hits in the eighth inning.
