Sibigtroth will be expected to contribute immediately in an infield that lost its second basemen to graduation in 2003. He is an experienced infielder that is only getting better both offensively and defensively.

Prior to UD...Joins teammate Patrick Flynn as one of two players from Kishwaukee Community College. There, Sibigtroth was an All Conference and All Region selection both his freshman and sophomore years. Also during his time at Kishwaukee, Sibigtroth was twice drafted by the White Sox, first in the 29th round of the 2001 draft before going in the 42nd round of the 2002 MLB draft. At Hampshire High School in Illinois, Matt was a four-year member of the varsity baseball team, and was an All Conference and All Area performer all four years.
