2007
Recognized on the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll...Appeared in 18 games with 20.2 innings pitched for the Flyers...Had 22 strikeouts with one save during his senior season...Four strikeouts came in his first appearance against Appalachian State where he allowed five hits in 2.1 innings pitched...Had a big game against Ohio Northern with four strike outs and no hits allowed in 2.2 innings...Ended the 2007 season with a 3.05 ERA.
2006
Came out of the bullpen to make four relief appearances...Threw a total of 6.1 innings pitched including a scoreless inning of work at Rhode Island...Allowed just one hit to the A-10 Regular Season Champion Rams...Recorded three strikeouts in 3.2 innings against Wright State.
2005
Made 11 appearances and held a 5.32 ERA with seven strikeouts...Allowed no earned runs on three hits in 4.0 combined innings of work over two relief appearances against #19 Notre Dame...Had a stretch of 5.2 scorless innings against Ball State, Bowling Green and George Washington.
2004
Appeared in eight games, starting two with a 1-1 record...Threw 22.0 innings and fanned 22 batters while walking 10...Struck out four or more batters in four of his eight outings...Had five strikeouts in 2.0 innings out of the bullpen against Middle Tennessee...Also threw a perfect inning of relief with one strikeout in UD's 9-2 win over A-10 rival Duquesne...Earned a win after allowing three runs and six hits while striking out four after throwing 5.0 innings in relief against Toledo.
Prior to UD
Ernst was a three-sport athlete at Fort Loramie High School...He was a first team All County and All Dayton-Area Team selection both his junior and senior years in baseball, with a senior campaign where he helped lead Fort Loramie to 28-3 record and a State Championship appearance.. He received the Redskin's "Best Pitcher Award" after going 8-1 in his final year.

A mechanical engineering major, Ernst was born on October 31, 1983...He is the son of Tim and Sharon Ernst.
