2006
Played in 41 games and started 33 behind the plate...Was Dayton's primary catcher for most of the season...Finished the season with 15 runs scored and 21 RBI to go along with seven doubles and four home runs...Was key for Dayton in a stretch that saw the Flyers win 14 of 16 games during the month of April...He hit .288 with six doubles, three home runs, eight runs scored and 14 RBI while playing in 13 of those games at catcher.
2005
Played in 23 games, starting seven as backup catcher in his first season as a Flyer...Had three hits in 26 at bats including a double in UD's 5-2 win at Wofford on the opening day of the season...Also appeared in six conference games and all three games of the series against #19 Notre Dame as a late inning replacement...Caught the ceremonial first pitch in both the dedication ceremonies for Time Warner Cable Stadium and the A-10 Championships at Fifth Third Field.
Prior to UD
Helped Logansport to a 26-game winning streak as it advanced to the State Title Game and was ranked as high as 48th nationally. A three-time All-Conference and two-time All-Area player at Logansport before moving on to Lincoln Trail Junior College. At Lincoln Trail, he started at catcher for two years with a .280 average, five home runs and 50 RBI. He was the recipient of the team's Lee Zink award for sportsmanship.
Personal
A leadership major with a minor in finance, Burt was born on December 24, 1983...He is the son of Ted and Deb Burt. His brother, Justin, was a pitcher at Franklin College from 1999-2003.
