COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Three members of the University of Dayton women's volleyball team will compete for spots at the national level on Feb. 20-22. Sophomore middle blocker and AVCA All-American Lindsay Fletemier, sophomore outside hitter Tiffany Gaerke and freshman middle blocker Rachel Krabacher were all invited to Colorado Springs to participate in the USA Nationals tryouts.

"This is an awesome opportunity for the three of them," UD head coach Kelly Sheffield said. "It's not only a collection of great players, but also of people that have a passion to play and a passion to compete. This experience will help them on their journey to being better players."

The three Flyers were selected among a pool of 160 to try-out for the U.S. National Team. Those not selected to the National Team will be considered for spots on the World University Games Team and the Senior A2 team.

Sheffield will also serve as an on-court talent evaluator for USA Volleyball during the tryouts.
