University of Dayton varsity rower Katie Lesko (Dayton, OH/Chaminade-Julienne HS) was named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV At-Large First Team today. The district team is made up of student-athletes from Division I schools in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee.

Lesko, a senior, maintained a cumulative 4.00 GPA during her career at UD while double majoring in Spanish and biology. Lesko was recognized for academic excellence earlier this year by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association as one of 142 National Scholar-Athletes. She was also named Atlantic 10 All-Academic and was given the team's award for Outstanding Varsity Rower.

To be nominated for Academic All-District, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Team members are selected by a vote of the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) within the district.
