    CINCINNATI, Ohio - After day one of the UC Spring Invitational, the Dayton Flyers are in a tie for seventh overall and just 14 strokes away from second place.

    The Flyers were led by freshman Julie Pouliquen who shot an 82 in round one. She tallied a 39 on the front nine before wrapping up with a 42 on the back.

    Close behind was a tied for second on the team between sophomore Casey Peterson and sophomore Katie Gallagher with an 84 each. Gallagher opened well tallying a 40 on the front nine before closing out the day with a 44 in the back. Peterson recorded a 41 and 43 on the front and back nine.

    Sophomore Katie Dempsey collected a 91, while senior Mary Kane and sophomore Cari DeAngelis each recorded a 92.

    The 10-team tournament will conclude on Tuesday, April 1 from the Elks Run Golf Course in Batavia, Ohio.
