    LEMONT, Ill. - Behind a team-best third round 75 from freshman John Muir, the University of Dayton Flyers finished in a tie for 12th at the John Dallio Memorial Invitational.

    Muir battled back from his previous rounds of 83 and 79 to lead the Flyers. The freshman from Kettering, Ohio completed the invitational tied for 44th overall.

    The top finisher for UD was junior Chris Woeste who tied for 35th among individuals. After carding a 75 and 78 in day one, Woeste fired an 81 in round three.

    Freshman Brenten Blakeman tied with Muir for 44th overall tallying a third round 82. Blakeman had previously shot rounds of 80 and 75.

    Junior Jeff Hodapp had a strong start to the tournament with scores of 79 and 75, but slipped in round three to finish with an 85. Freshman Matt Buse completed the tournament with scores of 81, 79 and 79.

    Dayton will return to the state of Ohio for its next tournament. The Flyers will compete in the Xavier Invitational on Oct. 5-6 from the Oasis Golf Club in Cincinnati.
