NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Junior outside hitter Rachel Krabacher was named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league office announced on Monday. 
 
Krabacher posted 25 kills in leading Dayton to a 3-1 win over second-place Xavier on Friday – the Flyers’ only match of the week. She recorded a .276 hitting percentage on 58 swings on her way to tallying 25 or more kills for the second time this season. Her 25 kills is a conference match-high among four-set matches and is just the seventh time since 2004 that a UD player has recorded more than 25 kills – Krabacher became the first player since 2005 to do so with 28 kills against now-No. 1 Illinois.

Krabacher also was named Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 19 and Oct. 3.

Dayton’s win against Xavier on Friday was its 10th consecutive and 32nd consecutive against an A-10 opponent.

Charlotte’s Amanda Videmsek was named the Defensive Player of the Week and Charlotte’s Savannah Gaster was honored as the Rookie of the Week.

Dayton (14-5, 7-0 A-10) will play its first and only mid-week match at 7 p.m. ET against Wright State (3-19, 2-8 Horizon) on Tuesday at the Frericks Center.

Head Coach Kelly Sheffield will host ‘Chalk Talk’ 30 minutes prior to first serve between the Raiders and Flyers, and fans can stick around after the match for player autographs with free posters.
