COLLEEN WILLIAMS CONTINUES WILLY'S WISH THIS SEASON

DAYTON, Ohio - University of Dayton women’s soccer player Colleen ‘Willy’ Williams has a heart as golden as her boot. The junior not only leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring, but she is also continuing Willy’s Wish –Dollars for Dayton for the second consecutive season.

Last year the Flyers fundraised more than $1,000 for a family in Dayton. Individuals are asked to donate just $1.

"A dollar may not seem like much, but combined with so many other people caring it makes a big difference that could change a family’s life," said Williams.

The UD women’s soccer team will be collecting the $1 donations at their remaining four home games (Oct. 21, 23, 28 & 30). Willy’s Wish collection boxes will be located at both entrances of Baujan Field.

The Flyers’ leading scorer this year, Williams is currently ranked 8th in the NCAA in assists (7) and 22nd in total points (21).

During the holiday season, Williams and the Flyers will present a family from the Dayton area with food and gifts.

The UD volleyball, men’s soccer and football teams will help with Willy’s Wish this weekend. Donations will be accepted at the Flyer volleyball match this Friday, Sept. 30 vs. Saint Louis at 7 p.m. at the Frericks Center, the UD football game Saturday, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m. at Welcome Stadium and the Dayton men’s soccer game Saturday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. at Baujan Field.

Admission is free to all UD volleyball and men’s and women’s soccer regular season home games.

Fans can also send donations to: University of Dayton, c/o Willy's Wish - Women's Soccer, 300 College Park, Dayton, OH 45469-1220.
