“Our three keepers have a fair amount of experience. Katherine Boone had a fantastic freshman year and then injuries set her back last year, along with the emergence of Lisa Rodgers playing so well. It’s nice that she has that year of experience and now she is healthy again and ready to jump back in the mix. Jordin Melchert and Jackie Thompson had the opportunity to get into some games this past spring and showed what they could do in that game situation. Jordin did not give up a goal all spring and Jackie wasn’t far behind. We have really good depth in the position. We have good competitive situation in training and as usual we feel very, very good about our goalkeeper situation.”

“We have a really tough schedule. It includes a number of teams that were in the NCAA last year or in the top of their leagues. Good players want to compete against that kind of schedule. They want something to gauge their progress. We’re ready for that schedule. If someone is going to defeat us they are going to have to play awfully well to do it. We’re playing teams that all can. We just have to be real motivated to get it done. I’m excited about playing that level of competition. We’ll absolutely be prepared for the A-10.”
