REDFORD, Mich. – Sophomore Kelly Coakley led the University of Dayton Flyers with rounds of 86 and 82 after day one of the 2011 Detroit Titans Invitational.

Coakley completed the day in 11th among individuals. She led the Flyers with 17 pars on the afternoon.

As a team the Flyers are in fourth after shooting a 348 in the first round and a 341 in the second.

Dayton had five birdies in the first two rounds and 60 pars. UD had good success on par 3 scoring averaging 3.77 strokes.

Senior Julie Pouliquen tied for 13th after 36 holes of play carding an 84 in round one and an 87 in the second.

Sophomore Cheryl Ang and junior Heather Jorgensen each shot an 89 in round one and an 86 in the second. Ang was the best player in the tournament in par 3 scoring going one-over in the first two rounds of play.

Senior Megan Keating rounded out the team scoring with a 90 and 93 on day one.

Competing as an individual, freshman Grace Nikolai shot a 90 in round one and a 96 in the second.

The third and final round will take place on Tuesday, April 12 with an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start.
