DAYTON, Ohio – University of Dayton standout Chris Rolfe has signed a contract to play for the Chicago Fire of the MLS.
Rolfe is stateside after two years in the Danish Superliga. He was originally drafted by the Fire after his playing days at UD.
In his return to the Fire, Rolfe tallied a goal in Chicago’s 3-1 win over the New York Red Bulls earlier this week.
Rolfe is one of 11 Flyers to play professional soccer. He played 62 games at UD, and holds UD’s single-season (10) and career (25) assist records.
