The Dayton Flyer women’s rowing team traveled East to face the West Virginia Mountaineers in a dual meet.
UD’s Varsity eight and second varsity eight won both of their races against the Mountaineers. However, in the Varsity Four dropped both of its heats to West Virginia.
Dayton's Varsity 4 in four races finished in second three times and in third once.
The novice boat also raced this weekend and did well taking a second place finsh, third and fourth place twice.
Something also of note is that the Dayton's second varsity eight beat West Virginia's Varsity 8 in one of the races.
Saturday’s races took place in a 1,500-meter format and official margins and times were not recorded.
The event was held on the Monongahela River alongside Edith Barill Park in Star City, W. Va.
