Weekend Preview
• Dayton (4-11) hosts Oakland (2-9) and Canisius (7-10) in a round-robin series at Time Warner Cable Stadium this weekend. It is the first game of a 13-game home stand at the Flyers’ home field.
• Senior Bobby Glover is on a season-long 15-game hitting streak. Glover leads the team with 22 hits and leads the conference with three triples. Glover is one of three Flyers with eight or more steals this season (9).
• Dayton ranks in the top 10 nationally in total stolen bases (42) and stolen bases per game (2.8).
• Senior Mike Hauschild will start for the Flyers on Friday against Oakland. Through four starts the Beavercreek, Ohio native has a 2.79 ERA and a 2-1 record. His 18 career wins on the mound is the third-most all-time at Dayton. Last weekend Hauschild pitched seven innings with eight strikeouts to earn the win against Austin Peay.
• Senior RHP Burny Mitchem enters the weekend with the second-most career strikeouts among active NCAA pitchers with 271. Arizona’s Kurt Heyer is the leader with 276. Senior Mike Hauschild ranks 18th in the NCAA for active career strikeouts with 197.
• On a senior-laden team, freshman A.J. Ryan leads the Flyer offense in batting average (.377) after 14 games played and 11 starts. Ryan was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week on Feb. 27.
• Last season, Dayton played two games against both Canisius and Oakland – sweeping the Golden Griffs and splitting with the Grizzlies.

Last Time Out
• Dayton is coming off two mid-week losses at Bowling Green State on Tuesday (3-2) and against Toledo on Wednesday (7-4) at Athletes in Action Stadium in Xenia, Ohio. Prior to Dayton’s two consecutive loses this week, the Flyers won the Riverview Inn Challenge, in Clarksville, Tenn. UD defeated host Austin Peay 12-1 and Northern Illinois 13-9.
• Junior Ian Hundley led the Flyers’ was moved into the leadoff spot last weekend after reaching base on 14-of-15 plate appearances.

Dayton Overview
• During the preseason, the Flyers were picked to finish third in the A-10.
• Last season UD went 32-27 and 15-9 in A-10 play, finishing third.
• UD returns five position players and three-of-four pitchers who started a conference game in 2011.
• Head Coach Tony Vittorio has a 344-333 record in his 13th season at Dayton.
• The Flyers won the 2009 A-10 regular season title and have had 30-win seasons in five of the last seven years.
