The University of Dayton’s women’s soccer team has announced the addition of six new players to its 2012 recruiting class.
Paige Almeida (Norton, Mass.), Abigail Bush (Kings Mills, Ohio),Megan Herr (Bowling Green, Ohio), Katie Kresja (Vernon Hills, Ill.), Olivia Max (Lexington, Ky.) and Jasmine Whitaker ( Indianapolis, Ind.) will be a part of the Flyer women’s soccer program while they continue their education.
“What we’re trying to do is to find people that can make us better and who fit into the way that we’re trying to do things,” said Tucker. “Overall we think this is going to be a really special class”. “They’re all really good students and really competitive, and I think their character and the quality of people that they are is what we’re looking for.”
The Flyers finished their 2011 season posting a record of 19-4-0 overall and an Atlantic 10 record of 7-2-0. UD won its third straight A-10 tournament titles in as many years. The Flyers also earned a berth to the NCAA Tournament.
