DAYTON, Ohio - After a flurry of scoring in the first weekend of the season University of Dayton junior forward Colleen Williams has been named the Atlantic 10 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week and she also headlined the TopDrawerSoccer.com Women’s College Team of the Week as the National Player of the Week.

The Titusville, N.J. native was also named the SoccerSavings.com/Philly Soccer News Women’s College Player of the Week for the week ending August 21. She was also selected to the Soccer America Women's Team of the Week.

Williams, named to the 2011 Hermann Trophy Watch List, began the 2011 campaign with a bang, scoring 10 points in Dayton's first two games to lead the Flyers to a pair of victories. She scored two goals and had an assist in UD's 7-2 win over Middle Tennessee State in the season opener, playing just 67 minutes. She repeated that two-goal, one-assist performance with the game-winner in a 3-1 victory over Cal Poly in UD’s home opener.

Dayton, which recently moved up eight spots to No. 23 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com Rankings, plays in the Northwestern Tournament this weekend, taking on 2-0 Loyola this Friday, Aug. 26 and Northwestern on Sunday, Aug. 28.
