COLUMBUS – The University of Dayton’s novice boats enjoyed great showings at the Ohio State Dual Meet.
The Freshman/Novice 8 squad defeated the Buckeyes in a highly contested heat winning with a time of 16:01, just two seconds ahead of OSU.
Then in the Second Freshman/Novice 8 race, UD won with a time of 15:32. OSU came in at 16:39.
The Flyer Varsity 8 was not far off of Ohio State’s Varsity 8 falling by 11 seconds after coming in with a time of 13:43.
Meanwhile, Dayton’s Second Varsity 8 placed in second to OSU’s boat clocking in at 15:15.
This concludes the fall season for Dayton. UD will return to action in March for the 2010 Spring Campaign.
