DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team claimed the Atlantic 10 series win over George Mason with a 5-4 victory in Sunday's finale on Senior Day. With today's win, the Flyers have reached the 30-win mark for the first time since the 2018 season.

On the season, Dayton is now 30-14 overall and 14-3 in conference games while George Mason moves to 28-17 for the year and 14-6 in league action.

KEY STATS
11 - the team put together 11 hits, the ninth time in the last 10 games the Flyers have posted double-digit hits
9 - freshman Izzy Kemp tallied nine strikeouts, including sitting down the final Patriot batter of the game
3 - four Flyers recorded multi-hit games led by sophomore Emma Schutter with three
HR - junior Kara Gunter knocked out her first home run of the season

UP NEXT
