DAYTON, Ohio - Flyer fans will get their first look at the University of Dayton men's and women's basketball teams on Saturday, Oct. 25 at the annual Red & Blue Game from UD Arena.
The annual intrasquad scrimmage for both programs will take place in the afternoon with the doors opening at 1 p.m. ET.
Admission is free and open to the public. Parking is only available in the A and B lots at UD Arena. A full food and drink menu will be available at the UD Arena concession stands.
RED & BLUE GAME TIMELINE- 1 p.m. - Doors Open
- 2 p.m. - Women's Basketball begins scrimmage
- 3 p.m. - Men's Basketball begins scrimmage
Autographs with both men's and women's basketball teams will begin approximately 15 minutes after conclusion of the men's basketball scrimmage.
The autograph session will last approximately 45 minutes.
Posters for both men's and women's basketball teams will be available to fans for free. Fans are permitted one (1) item to be autographed, per person. Autograph seekers may also pick up a team poster or bring an item from home to be signed.
The event will include face painters, balloon animal artists and free giveaways available on the concourses.
The UD ProSource Ticket Office will also be open during the Red & Blue Game for fans to purchase season tickets, ticket packages and single-game tickets for men's and women's basketball. Seats open for season ticket sales will be physically marked in UD Arena.
Dayton Men's Basketball finished 2013-14 ranked 18th in the final USA Today Coaches Poll. UD's 26 wins were the third-most in school history. The Flyers return the bulk of UD's "True Team" 11-man rotation for next year. That includes leading scorer
Jordan Sibert (12.2 ppg) at guard and NCAA All-Region selection
Dyshawn Pierre (11.2 ppg) at forward.
Flyer Women's Basketball posted a record of 23-8 during the 2013-14 season, marking the seventh-consecutive year Dayton women's basketball has had 20 plus wins. With their 14-2 Atlantic 10 Conference record, the Flyers repeated as the A-10 Regular Season Champions in 2014. Dayton's top two returning scorers are All-Atlantic 10 First Team selections
Andrea Hoover (17.3 ppg) and
Ally Malott (14.4 ppg).
