YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The University of Dayton Flyers haulted a two-match losing streak on Friday with a 5-2 victory over Youngstown State in Youngstown, Ohio.
Three Flyers won matches in both singles and doubles as UD improved to 5-6 on the spring.
Junior Michael Rohana paced Dayton with a convincing 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles over Michael Kathary. In doubles, Rohana teamed with senior David Peyton for an 8-5 victory at No. 1.
Peyton came from behind at No. 3 singles to earn a 4-6, 6-4, 12-10 win over Patrick Hamning.
Reigning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Austin Wiegand also earned two victories, which came at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles.
Andrew Nixon and Matt Sherman earned points for Dayton as well. |
