INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana - The University of Dayton men's tennis team was blanked 7-0 by the Butler Bulldogs in non-conference action on Tuesday in Indianapolis, IN.

Several courts - including all three doubles contests - were closer than the overall score indicated.

Dayton junior Matt Sherman took Bryce Warren to a first-set tiebreak at No. 2 singles before ultimately falling 7-6 (0), 6-1.

On the next court, senior David Peyton suffered a close 7-5, 7-5 loss to Brandon Bayliss at No. 3.

In doubles competition, UD's No. 2 tandem of Sherman and freshman Austin Wiegand and the No. 3 team of sophomores Michael Koscielski and Chris Riccardella each mustered six games in 8-6 defeats. Peyton and junior Michael Rohana were also within striking distance at No. 1, falling 8-5.

The Flyers will look for their first win this spring on Friday, Feb. 13 against IPFW at 2 p.m. EST in Fort Wayne, IN.
