The Flyers Men's Tennis squad faltered for the second time on Friday evening losing to the Southern Illinois Salukis in Richmond, Kentucky. In the first match of the day against EKU the Flyers kept it close and fell by just one point. Southern Illinois was a different story, however, as the Flyers fell 4-1. The loss puts the Flyers at 0-2 early on in the spring season.
Junior Tom Murphy continued his excellent day by taking his first singles match against Rodrigo Lama (6-2, 2-6, 6-4). Murphy also teamed up with junior Rex Cabrera to win their second doubles match of the day, at first doubles, against Lama/Gonzalez (8-5). There were no other winners last evening for the Flyers.
UD will now have a week off prior to traveling to Indianapolis on February 3rd for their next action against IUPUI at 6:30 PM. |
