DAYTON, Ohio – University of Dayton senior defender Michael Deyhle was an honorable mention on the 2011 NSCAA University Division Men’s Scholar All-East Region Team.
A Cincinnati, Ohio native, Deyhle was tabbed as UD’s Defender of the Year. He was a member of the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference team, and was a key component of Dayton’s back four during his time at Dayton. Earlier this week he was also selected to the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association’s Academic All-Ohio Team.
Deyhle started every match in 2010, and was picked to CoSIDA’s Academic All-District First Team. During his time with the Flyers, Dayton captured the 2008 A-10 Tournament Championship and the 2009 Atlantic 10 Regular Season Championship.
Deyhle has been a member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s honor roll each of his first six times eligible. He has also been on the Dean’s list for the same time.
The Flyers return 21 student-athletes for the 2012 season.
