DAYTON, Ohio - Tickets for the 2006 Men's Basketball Championship Opening Round game are now on sale to the public. The showdown between the 64th and 65th seeded teams will take place on Tuesday, March 14 at the UD Arena.
The Opening Round game will determine which of the two teams will continue on to play a number one seeded team in this year's NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. The Opening Round has been hosted by the University of Dayton since its inception in 2001. UD will continue to host the Opening Round through 2008.
This year the University of Dayton is also a site for First and Second Round NCAA Tournament games. These sold out games will take place on March 17 and 19 at the Arena.
Tickets for the Opening Round cost $10 for adults, $5 for youth (16 and under). For groups of 20 or more, tickets are $5 per person. Group orders also include 2 free parking passes. Parking passes for lots A or C are $5 in advance. Parking passes are $7 on the day of the game.
