DAYTON 71, PRESBYTERIAN 52

Head Coach Brian Gregory
First off, I would like to apologize to Presbyterian College. I thought that the headline in today's newspaper was very disrespectful to our program. At no time did our players say anything about planning on doing what the headline said. Our guys go out there and they are supposed to play hard and play with great intensity and it doesn't matter who we are playing. I told their coach that I apologized that the headline was inappropriate."

"We didn't play very well in the first half and we didn't defend the way we were capable of defending. They made some shots and they are a good team, they play a lot of good players. People can talk about who you are playing, and all sorts of those things, but it's who plays better in the 40 minutes. Records aren't that important and who you have isn't that important if you don't do what you're supposed to do. You see it every day in college basketball.

"I was pleased that our guys bounced back and played a very good second half defensively. They were better on the glass and did a better job of taking care of the ball. We were able to extend the lead and play much better in the second half. Now we just need to move on and build on what we did in the last 20 minutes."

"London Warren won us the game single-handedly, because if he didn't play the way he did in the first half, then we would have been down 10 or 12 points. We might have been able to get out of the hole but the guys were called to duty and needed to play extremely well for us. I thought that Mickey Perry played well for us, and Rob Lowery played well for us in spurts. Obviously , Devin Searcy and Josh Benson did some nice things for us as well. They did a good job of getting the ball inside and getting quality baskets around the hoop."

Josh Benson
"Everybody tells me to be ready when my number is called. I prepare and we prepare as a team and attack the game as a team."

"No matter what stage of basketball you are playing, you have to be ready. It's a long season and teams get hot, struggle, have injuries throughout the year. We lost two key players today in Chris Johnson and Marcus Johnson, with Luke Fabrizius out so that's a big minus for us. We dealt with it as a team and came prepared and responded well in the second half."

"Devin (Searcy) is a good player, he's been in the program for three years and I look up to him for some of the things throughout the season. He tells me the right things to do and I process it the best I can. Playing under the Devin Searcy or Kurt Huelsman made me more mature because they taught me how to work."

Mickey Perry
"Just being aggressive and taking what the defense gave me and not trying to force it. We were just running our offense. Guys were very unselfish and were knocking some shots down."

"You have to give them a lot of credit. They did some really good things and were very active. They've played some really good teams lately at North Carolina and at Ohio State, so you knew they weren't intimidated. They jumped out on us and were really excited about what they were doing. We bounced back in the second half and do what we do and were able to take care of business."

"Those guys have played against really good teams. They wanted to come in here and make a statement. That's how basketball is sometimes. Thankfully some of us stepped us and were able to take it home tonight."

Paul Williams
"I was just at the right place at the right time. I was just looking for the ball. I haven't been rebounding a lot lately, so I was trying to do my best."

"Presbyterian is a good team. They played Ohio State and North Carolina. They were ready to play. They were a good team and they gave us their best."
