DAYTON

  • Brian Roberts has tallied double-figures in points in 38 of his last 42 games. In fact he's scored double-digits in a half 64 times in his career and on 14 occasions this season.
  • Jimmy Binnie has converted a three-point field goal in 13-of-14 games this season. The only game he did not make a three-pointer was against Coppin State.
  • Kurt Huelsman has scored in double-figures for the fifth time this season and reached that mark for the third consecutive game.
  • Marcus Johnson has scored in double-figures in his fourth consecutive game and had accomplished that feat six times this season, all at UD Arena.
  • Ranking Notes: The Flyers hold an all-time record of 123-33 as a ranked team in the AP Top 25 poll. UD is 8-3 all-time when ranked No. 17 and has won five of its last six when ranked at that position. Dayton is 66-8 all-time at home and 9-3 at UD Arena when in the Top 25.
  • UD's 13-1 start matched its best start to a season since the Flyers won their first 14 games in 1955-56.
  • Dating back to last season the Flyers have won 25 of their last 27 at UD Arena. Dayton is 10-0 at home this year.
  • Andres Sandoval scored a season high 12 points and tallied in double figures in points for the second time in his last four games. Also the eight points scored by Mickey Perry were a career-high.
  • Dayton continues to own the longest combined men's and women's basketball streak in the country, through Wednesday's games. With 14 straight women's wins and 12 straight men's wins, Dayton's 26 consecutive victories are the most in the NCAA.
  • Dayton is 25-3 under head coach Brian Gregory when scoring 75 or more points. UD has also scored 80 or more points in four consecutive games.
  • The 54 points scored in the first half was a season high. Dayton also shot a season-best 20 field goals, and 20-of-27 good for 74 percent from the floor.
  • In their last six games the Flyers have shot 44-of-84 (.524) from beyond the arc.
  • The 13,435 paid attendance was the 80th sellout in the 38-year history of UD Arena and the second this season.

    RHODE ISLAND

  • URI lost for the 12th consecutive time to a ranked opponent.
  • The 90 points allowed were the most by the Rams this season Also the 54 points allowed were the most in a half allowed by URI this season.
  • The 26 points recorded by Jimmy Baron were the most since he opened the season with 30 against Florida Atlantic during the season opener. Baron has scored in double figures in all but one game this season.
  • Parfait Bitee's 14 points were a career high. His previous career-high was eight against Northeaster back on Nov. 28, 2007.
  • URI drops to 14-14 all-time in Atlantic 10 season openers.
