POST-GAME QUOTES

Dayton Head Coach Brian Gregory

"We did not do the things in the second half that we did in the first half to get us the lead. There were three keys to the game that we talked about in pre-game. We gave up transition baskets, both off turnovers and with poor shots. We got killed on the glass, giving up nine offensive rebounds in the second half. And we did not make it a possession game. Sometimes you have to keep in mind who you are, what you need to do to win and how you got the lead in the first place."

"We got a lot of movement in the first half, with plenty of ball reversal. In the second half, we took shots after one pass that we could have gotten 25 seconds later. We are shorthanded, and we are on the road. We wanted to shorten the game, and we did not do that in the second half.

"Withers wanted it more in the second half. He took over the game."

"The difference in the game was on the offensive glass. We got nine offensive rebounds, which isn't bad because we were only sending three players to the glass. But we only got five second-chance points from our nine rebounds. They had 14 offensive rebounds, but they had 24 second-chance points."

"That's the second game they have done that on the boards in the second half. That's disappointing. In that situation, you've got to do whatever it takes. You have to be willing to accept that responsibility."
