XENIA, Ohio - The University of Dayton Flyers beat the IPFW Mastodons 10-1 in a weekday matchup on Wednesday.

Eric Wagner posted his fourth win of the season pitching seven innings for the Flyers. In that time, Wagner struck out four and walked one without allowing a single earned run. Wagner is 4-0 on the season for UD.

Jacob Spaeth was 1-for-2 with one home run for a pair of RBI on the day. Redshirt senior catcher Scott Dunwoody was 2-for-4 with four RBI on the day and two runs scored.

Marshall MacDonald posted a three RBI day after going yard against the Mastodons.

IPFW converted first with a triple to bring home Jordan Kohler who reached on an error earlier in the inning.

From there it was all UD on the night. MacDonald's two run bomb gave the Flyers the leading edge which they would not be removed from.

Dunwoody singled to drive home Max Navalinski and Jonathan Castine in the fifth inning. Dunwoody was then walked home later in the inning giving Dayton the 5-1 advantage.

The Flyers added a five-run sixth inning that was sparked by Spaeth's two-run blast over the right field wall as UD cruised to its 15th "home" victory of the season.

Dayton is now 21-14 on the season and will host the Saint Louis Billikens in a three-game series this weekend at Time Warner Cable Stadium.
