Craig Stammen Article - Syracuse Post Standard Article
DAYTON, Ohio - After winning his fourth straight decision, former University of Dayton right-handed pitcher Craig Stammen is making waves with the Washington Nationals' Triple-A affiliate Syracuse Chiefs.
Stammen won his last decision allowing zero runs and just four hits against the Indianapolis Indians in 6.0 innings pitched. With a 1.85 ERA and 1.00 WHIP, he has allowed less than two earned runs in five of his six starts this season.
During his time as a Flyer, Craig surged to second in UD history for single-season wins with nine and fourth in strikeouts with 77. He was a member of the 2005 Flyer team that set a school-best 36 wins which has been equaled by this year's club.
