KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of Dayton Flyers fell to the Rhode Island Rams on Saturday 10-1, ending their Atlantic 10 Conference unbeaten streak. The Flyers are now 16-11 and 6-1 in the A-10 after Saturday's setback.
Left fielder Max Navalinski was 2-of-3 on the day with Dayton's solitary RBI at the plate. Zach Jacob and Jonathan Castine both registered one hit in the game.
Right-hander Mike Hauschild started Saturday's matchup against the Rams. Hauschild went 6.1 innings with five strikeouts, one walk and seven earned runs. He is now 2-2 this season and 1-1 in conference play.
Tim Corbey also saw action on the mound against URI. Corbey registered two punchouts, two walks and two earned runs in 1.2 innings pitched.
The Flyers scored their lone run on Navalinski's single that scored Jonathan Castine on the play.
