Position:
Coordinator of Strength & Conditioning

Thobe enters his seventh season at the helm of the UD Strength and Conditioning program.

As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Thobe's duties include the design and implementation of athletic performance programs, supervising team and individual training sessions, and testing the strength, power and conditioning of all UD athletes, except for men's and women's basketball.

Prior to his arrival at the University of Dayton, Thobe worked at the University of Oregon as a graduate assistant in strength and conditioning for one season.

He earned his Master's degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in December 2000, serving as the athletic department's strength and conditioning coach.

As a graduate of the University of Dayton, Thobe lettered in football as a defensive back for three years where he served as a team captain and earned All-American honors in 1998. Thobe also earned All-Academic Pioneer Football League honors in 1997.

After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Thobe worked as a strength and conditioning intern with the Indianapolis Colts in 1999.
